What I wrote out for the basic 12-bar blues is very general, and the most popular and basic way to play blues. You will recognize this progression on almost any blues album, in many rock songs, and even some country songs. In the diagram, each slash mark is a beat (foot stomp) and every 4 beats is a "bar."
