The main thing to remember in this song is that it is in 3/4 time, so there are only 3 beats in each measure. The accompaniment on the bottom line of tab is just a picking pattern that keeps repeating. This same pattern would go well with mostly any slow song in 3/4 time. Notice that I have kept the same right-hand picking pattern the throughout the song, which makes it easy to play. It would be fine to mix it up with other 3/4 patterns or strums if you choose to.
