Skull Strings' stainless steel is constantly protected by a passive layer of chromium oxide which forms on the surface as a result of the contact between the chromium and the humidity in the air because of their minimum chromium content of 17 %. Once this layer deteriorates, it regenerates by the same process. This makes the Skull strings for bass guitar extremely resistant to corrosion and oxidation. Gauges: .045, .065 , .085, .110, .135.
