This Mackie 12", 500W active subwoofer monitor offers fast, precise low-frequency reproduction and flexible monitoring and control. Instead of boomy home theater bass, the HRS120 provides extremely accurate low end. Response is flat down 21Hz and just 3dB down at 19Hz. In short, it clearly kicks serious bass butt. Control options include variable crossover point, THX high-pass defeat, AC-3 elliptical filter, and the ability to control additional slave subwoofers, or bypass the HRS120 entirely via footswitch. Incorporates a downward-firing 12" servo-coupled transducer and supplementary front-firing 12" passive transducer driven by a 500W FR Series amplifier.
