The Event Tuned Reference 8XL Biamplified Monitors are intended for the monitoring environment that requires high volume levels. They use the same design as the original TR8 with powerful independent amplifiers that deliver 150W of biamplified (100W LF; 50W HF) power to each monitor. The amplifiers use a high-performance toroidal transformer for superior noise characteristics and have an LED power indicator. Design employs a 2.6kHz, active fourth-order crossover. The Tuned Reference also has RF interference, magnetic shielding, output current limiting, over temperature, turn-on/off transients, subsonic filter, and internal fuse protection. 8" LF driver has a mineral-filled polypropylene cone with 1-1/2" diameter high-temperature voice coil and damped rubber surround, is coupled with a 1" ferrofluid-cooled silk dome HF driver. The monitors include balanced XLR and 1/4" inputs, as well as unbalanced RCA ins. Frequency response: 35Hz - 20kHz, ±3dB (-2dB @ 38Hz), ref. 500Hz.
