Adding the Focusrite ISA428 ADC provides 8 channels of the highest quality conversion at frequency rates of up to 192kHz. (Running at 96kHz provides 16 simultaneous digital outputs alongside the 4 main analog outputs.) Digital output formats include 8 channel single/dual wire AES/EBU, 8 channel S/PDIF, and single/dual port 8-channel ADAT lightpipe, all available on a single ADC card. 2 ISA428s can be used with a single ADC, using the 4 extra line input channels on the rear of the unit containing the optional ADC.
