The Shavano was designed for those sliders out there that wanted a little tighter fit. The Rocky Mountain Slide Company listens to their players, and the Shavano (Shav-Van-No) reflects this. This slide has a smaller inner diameter of 3/4" (18mm to 20mm), so it is tighter fitting than the Blues Boy or the Salidan. The Shavano guitar slide has a more traditional feel for players with smaller fingers, long skinny fingers, or who are playing with their pinkies. Although made from ceramic material, this model sounds closer to brass. Tonally, the Shavano is moderate, making it great for lots of different styles.
