This system uses a Schertler Bluestick pickup under the saddle and a special onboard active preamp built exclusively for Wechter Guitars. The preamp mounts on the inside of the guitar at the output jack and runs on a 9-volt battery, which is mounted inside the guitar on the headblock.Gain and tone controls are discreetly located at the edge of the soundhole. The tone controls are active boost and cut for both bass and treble.
