Because it is nice and slow, with a simple and familiar melody, Red River Valley is a great song for beginners. Be sure to look over the beginning tutorials if this is the
first song you are attempting to play. Please also note that the tablature in this type of arrangement consists of two different parts. When you are playing you can play either
the top line (melody) or the bottom line (accompaniment), but you don’t play them both at the same time.
