Hi everybody, My second post ... I should come here more often... Well, here is my new old mandolin. ![]() It's a 15 to 20 year old SaeHan - presumably made in Korea - that I blind bought second hand some three weeks ago from someone in a Spanish guitar forum for an almost risible price. I feared this was to be an unusable instrument, but fortunately it has proved a very good instrument for the price and for my playing level (almost zero right now) ... This is my first mandolin. In fact when I first put my hands on it, it was the second time in my life I'd ever put my hands on one of those, but being a guitar picker myself I didn'f find it too difficult to make some 'music' out of it almost immediately. Quite the opposite to what happened with banjo which I keep struggling with to get some rolls sound fluid and rolling... It's been love at 'first touch' and has become my pride and joy! I've been bold enough so as to even dare play it live last weekend with my folk-americana band! Here's a picture (I'm the guy in the cowboy hat) ![]() Greets!
