Carol and I will make our Massachusetts debut at Books and Beans Coffeehouse in Southbridge, MA, on September 22. The show starts at 7:30 PM. This is a nice, family-friendly place that was created to provide jobs for people with disabilities. There is no cover charge, but there will be a tip jar and CD's for sale. I cancelled the Worcester gig as it started at 9:30 PM on a work night; my 55-year-old self can't hang like that anymore. Hope some folks in the area will come, check it out, and will also introduce yourselves. It will be nice to meet some fellow EZFolkers.

Hey Gary, Good luck to you and Carol on your gig. Break a leg, as they say. I don't know much about the geography of Massachusetts but you might want to check the forum members from MA and see if there's anybody in the vicinity and you can send them a private note and invite them if you want to. Here's the map with those users... http://www.ezfolk.com/forums/view_user.php?region=Massachusetts&country=USA

Thanks, Richard. I will work on that this weekend. Some of the towns look familiar to me as close to where I live. It is exciting to come to a new area and to "become a part of the scene." I think there are some good opportunities here.

sounds like a good time! I don't know if I can make it, but I will try. I play with the Pioneer Valley Fiddlers, which meets in Westfield, they are always looking for people to sit in, especially if you play banjo! Good luck, break a pinky! kevin

Sounds great, Kevin. Being new to the area, I don't know how many people we'll draw, so the more, the merrier. I am a self-taught banjo player who doesn't play thue clawhammer, But I do love playing with fiddlers. I'll have to check it out.
