Was wondering what shoes some of you folks use to clog in.  I really don't like the clangy steven stomper type shoes.  But we do need to amplify the sound some.  Let me fill you in on our playing situation.  We play on the street in Branson, MO... down at Branson Landing... non-amplified.  I thought of making a low profile "dance floor" perhaps 3'x3' to help amplify sound over concrete, that we could clog on during fiddle breaks etc.

I was on the internet a while back and came across some different shoes that looked interesting, but can't find them now.  They did not seem to have metal taps with tinny sound, but some other system.

I imagine some of you don't use special shoes at all.. but use a good leather sole, wood heel shoe.

Does anyone here have a design for a small portable dance pad?

Anyway, was hoping for some feedback.
