Actually, you can convert a non-music profile into a music profile. Anyone wanting to do that would need to go to any music profile and click the link that says "Artist Signup" and myspace will walk you through the conversion.

Just as an aside, when I Google our ensemble name “Liscune”  our independent site is number one and our EzFolk site is number two before our MySpace site which is the third result out of over twenty five hundred pages indexed.  Given the fact that fans can now sign up here at EzFolk we may reconsider committing significant assets to our independent site. Well done Richard and thank you again!

Peace,
Ed

MADDENING!
I mislabeled a tune on Myspace and can't figure out how to change it. Or add other tunes. Anyone know how to do his?

The only way I've found is to delete it and re-add it.

I would be happy to do that. But it seems like a bug in amber. There are no apparent modifiers! I'm thinking of Semtex to delete it.

Added later:
Not that they make it transparent, but the way to edit and add songs is via the profile edit  function. I fixed the error and now know how to add tunes.

Please leave Comments or feedback about
"Hey Mr. President"
SUPPORT HEY MR. PRESIDENT SONG
Hey Mr. President was written in a small cabin in Maine. No professional studio equipment was used for the recording. E.J. HatAttacks recorded this song live, with his acoustic guitar, giving the full musical effect of the performance, as he expresses his feelings through the song Hey Mr. President.

Yup, you were right Richard.

http://www.myspace.com/gerrymcgandy

I can hardly keep up with the amount of talented newcomers arriving on ezfolk; Amy Duncan, Lisa Dee, Jim Clendenen, Malachi, Rosa Rebecka, Smiffy, ade cull, Jono, Elsa Siugo, Annika Jayne, Rosered, Steve J Turner, Ryan.... what was a stream has become a torrent. If it wasn't for those artists who allow downloads and my mp3 player I would only hear a fraction of it.

Does this swelling of the chorus date from your suggestion to network at myspace, or is it just a natural progression, this being The site for (mostly) acoustic music?

Hi,

well, I was on MySpace first where Richard found me - thanks for that! :)

So far I have really come to appreciate EzFok - MySpace has become kind of blurry, you know. You no longer know who is who, there are so many weirdos there...(well, none of us...!) , things are quite unpersonal - MySpace has everything I usually despise...and yet... it does help you to promote your music just a little.

Gerry - thanks for the credit! Apart from that I totally agree with you  - there's just too much good music out there and I find it very hard to keep up myself! I really wish I could, but I just don't have the time - I work 40h per week, I do concerts, I write songs, I work on my website, I learn sign language...you know...I don't want to show off with everything I do (I'm not that great!) - I just want to express  that time has become so little if you really want to seize life. And it makes me sad to know that there's probably even more talented artists out there whose music I'll miss because of that! But then - there are some priorities I have to set. But believe me - whenever I DO have the time, first thing I do is check out your music - here on EzFolk, MySpace or somewhere else. I promise! :)

I'm with Gerry and Annika - There's so many wonderful artists here that finding the time is the hardest part. Then if you add in MySpace and, for me, SoundClick... time?? I want to be doing music, but I also want to be listening to the wonderful music you all have developed. But I guess I need to feed the kids as well, eh? And maybe earn a little money once in a while?

So, I absolutely love the explosion of music on ezFolk, and all the other places I hang out (with much less frequency than here). But don't think I'm ignoring you if I don't get to your music right away, even those who put things up on the forum...

(by the way, Annika, welcome to the world of sign language - my day job is as an interpreter and interpreter trainer :)).

~Amy

Gerry's got it pegged pretty well. Most of the new people on ezFolk are people from MySpace who I've invited to come and take a look and see if they might be interested in ezFolk to complement whatever else they do on the Internet.

They're not all from MySpace. We did have about 800 artists on ezFolk before I ever started a MySpace page and those came from a variety of places and people continue to come from different places.

MySpace is so huge and has so many people that I thought it would be worthwhile to try every day and reach out to as many people as I can. Sort of guerilla marketing for somebody who has more time than money.

I'm just interested in building the best possible website I can and the more good and diversified music we have on ezFolk the more people will like to visit, and the more people who visit, the more new artists will have an interest in joining us. Know what I mean?

I'm really excited about the new people like Annika and Malachi and many others who come to ezFolk and find a place where they're comfortable.

:tip-hat2:

Another MySpace explorer. There is a lot of junk out there but buried in amongst it are some real genuine and talented musicians. Use it to sift out good Folk and Blues people, and direct them to my ezFolk URL. Hopefully some sign up with ezFolk.

It turns out that I now have two sites.  The one I listed on page 2 (which has naught on it) and this new one in the "artiste" section.

http://www.myspace.com/dustyleer

I disremember, but the only reason I even considered MSP, is that you can't read or respond to Emails from MSP unless you be a member.
