My buddy turned 50, so as a present to himself and to me (I turned a mere 33 a couple of days after he turned the big 5-0), he hosted a "benefit" concert in the basement of his church in downtown Riverside.
The concert was pretty cool--we had 70-80 or so drift through, and $600 was raised for his chruch for replacing a stolen sound system.
The cool thing was that Terry and I, along with musical members of the local brew club, brought our "collections" out for the stage decor. There were probably as many instruments hung around the hall (mostly on stage) as there were people!

There I am during sound check, with my Alvarez, and to the right, our crack rockNroll guitar player Jeremy. It was the first time I tried out the "tri" system I have put together for acoustic guitar performances: LR Baggs soundhole M1, a Baggs EQ/DI at my feet, and the Sennheiser cab microphone. Worked beautifully. Behind me, you can see my Lanikai cutaway, Ben Frye uke, and above are Terry's Belfiore uke and his daughter's college Black Fluke (formerly my Fluke, but she will take it to school).
We had 4 15" mains hooked up to a 2500 watt Behringer for mostly vocals and some instruments, and 1500 watts of monitors pointing at our faces (we used one Gigrac for main mix, monitor out to a second Gigrac). It was sometimes loud with the drums and all, but the acoustic performances were as good as one could get in an echoey cement basement. Comments as usual that the vocals were clear, even with the loud band. That made me feel good, as that is what I strive for when I wire sound.
The manual labor and lbs lost from carrying all that equipment downstairs was worth it!
Hopefully I'll get some pictures of the actual concert very soon...
Here's a picture of the old geezer in soundcheck w/his daughter & her friend:
