Hey ezFolkies...

I'm happy to announce that at about 9:30 p.m. tonight (04/11/06) we officially passed the 1 million mark on MP3 plays! I know that's not exactly iTunes but hey, it's pretty good for a bunch of people playing folk songs.

I appreciate all of you folks who have shared your music and hope you'll continue to do so.

I took a picture for posterity... figured it would last longer...

Very cool Richard!

Thank you for providing all of us with a great place to share music.  I am sure that I speak for most of us when I say that we are very grateful to you for all of the work you must do to maintain ezFolk and still keep it free to us.

Wayne

Richard,
you're right, it's not ITunes. There's already an ITunes. And that's not why we're here...

It's pretty darn nifty that a group of folkies could generate over 1,000,000 plays. to Richard, and to us all!

Congrats to you for seeing such a wonderful milestone happen on your site.

Amy

Richard

I am a new ezfolk member (only  since one month ) and I swim in happiness. Some of my friends came to view my site and I have been surprised by the others who have listened and  appreciated my music!
Congratulations for this milestone

That's good to hear - this is a great place, and long may it continue!

I'd like to add my thanks to Richard for making all this possible, and for creating such a varied and invaluable place on the web.

I actually found myself trying out a ukelele the other day - you see, this is the power of ezFolk!! :)

Dan :)

Well done Richard! I'm quite new to the site and already have people listening in to my tunes. I joined right before you broke the bank, and feel proud to have contribute by listening to many other fine artists and posting my own songs. Keep it up, I love the site, it's an honor and a priveledge to be here. Greg. a.k.a. The Barefoot Bard.
