:wave1:Howdy folks! I'd just like to introduce myself. My name is Michelle from Asheville,NC. Me and my sister have just picked up the banjo and I'm desperate to learn! Bluegrass is a big part of my family. Guitar, Mandolin, and Dobro are instruments played by my family members, but no banjo. I love the banjo and figured it was in my blood to learn. I don't play any other instruments either, and figured that at age 40, I'd better learn before it's too late! Any advice from the forum will be greatly appreciated!

Welcome, Irbleueyzz.

Be sure to check out the BG tutorials from the home page. Richard did a good job for beginners (I've never been able to get the rolls, etc. down).

I'd also look for a teacher - there is so much technique required for BG banjo that I think you really need to have someone who can answer questions, watch what you're doing and give advise.
