I am a new member . Found this site when I was looking for help in playing claw hammer five string banjo. It is the best I have found. I have played two finger for a number of years and find the contrast when playing claw hammer interesting. Claw hammer is a better way to play some songs. I play a five string banjo with an old Slingerland 10 3/4" pot and new neck that I made a few years back. I play the five string for fun and the tenor when playing with groups because it is easier to play in any key. My tenor is a Richelieu Golden Bell and it is the best tenor I have ever played. I have also played pelctrum but finally decided that I had reached an age where I should focus on fewer instruments. I have played keyboard all my life and will continue to use it as a means of understanding new songs. Glad to join all of the other players.
