I am new to the forum and a ukulele rookie.

When I recieved my activation email, it said "*** IMPORTANT *** YOU MUST POST AT LEAST ONE MESSAGE WITHIN THE FIRST 24 HOURS OF ACTIVATING YOUR MEMBERSHIP OR YOUR ACCOUNT WILL BE DELETED."

so this is my anti-deleting post.

Heya Boondock!

Feel free to write me at:

thank you Mr Hobbit.   That small graphic with your email addy is very clever way to post it in the open so SPAMBOTS won't smell it.

I've added you to  my myspace, and look forward hearing from you.

Hi Boondock,  I've just joined as well.  I'm mainly interested in frailing/clawhammer banjo.  I've been playing for about 3 years, but switched over from Scruggs Style to Frailing about a year ago.

I thought so too when I found the place online that makes them. I'd pass the url on to you but I've had it so darn long now that I can't remember where I got it.

Hello Trevor F, it's nice to meet you.  Where in the world are you?   lol.   I love banjo, my neighbor sits outside on the porch and plays it ALL summer.   It's really quite nice to live next door to a banjo player.

Mr Hobbit, I guess I should send this via pm, but i do have a quick question for you.   I recently purchased a Lehua Soprano, that is in need of some mechanical repairs, just some saddle work.

Could you reccomend somebody in the Puget Sound area, to help me get my uke in good running order?

Hello, Boondock.  I was just reading through various posts.  HH may have other suggestions, but in the meantime I suggest you call Dusty Strings in Freemont.  They have a great assortment of ukes including top brands like GString and Kamaka, so may also have a good uke service source for you.  They have an excellent assortment of uke music and cd's too.

I live in Bend but my kids live in Seattle (Ballard) so I'm up here a lot and always drop in there to admire the fine 'woodwork' when I'm in town.

Welcome to the group!

Heya Boondock, missed your question. (But then again, you do have my email. :? )

I'd recommend Aaron Andrews, 206.295.4821.

And hey Ray, I'm in Ballard. Drop me an e-mail next time you're planning on coming up and maybe we can get together for a strum.
