I will be in the Chicago area (Downers Grove) the week after Thanksgiving (11/29-12/4) for some work-related training. I am considering bringing my erhu along. Is there anyone in the area who might be interesting in getting together to play Chinese tunes some evening? Best wishes, David

David.. I couldnt be able to make it to chicago but could you give me (us) a little more info about that place you play at there in Portland? name, websites, address etc? Is it Chinese Gardens or something like that? seems my Daughter from Portland is getting hitched maybe this year yet sometime, and we could stop in and listen to the music they play there? sounds like a relaxing evening. The Portland Classical Chinese Garden has been renamed to the Lan Su Chinese Garden: http://www.lansugarden.org/home My teacher and his group usually plays there on Sunday afternoons, and other times during the week depending on the season and special events. I sometimes join in but it has been infrequent in recent months due to my busy family, church, and work schedule. With a daughter in town I am sure that you will have a full schedule, but let me know if you want to share an ale, lunch. or a tune. Best wishes, David
