Anyone here have any idea, when is the Erhu Grading Exam for year 2009? 1) Understand that there are two types of exams (NUS and Nafa), any idea when is the closing date for registration? 2) Which are the Solo pieces for Grade 5 and 6 erhu? Not sure if there's enough time to practise for the solo pieces. Hope at least one of the solo pieces, happen to learn it before. Thanks a lot.

Please visit NUS Centre for Arts website at http://www.nus.edu.sg/cfa/chime/ . Anyway exam registration is over. As for NAFA, not sure where and when it is held but there is a concert by top students selected by examiner for performance. I think somewhere late Nov. FYI, I am am a beginner, just slightly less than 1 year. Not sure about my standard but my teacher at the CC said that I am not even ready for grade 1

Hey there. Grade 1 is really easy to begin with. I recommend you take the NUS exam if you are a beginner. And I think you can take slightly less than a year to go for grade 1 [: which CC are you learning at anyway?
