Over the years I have downloaded quite a bunch of erhu scores from various websites. Many of the scores consist of one image that contains all pages. The dilemma comes when I want to print the score. All I see is a tiny long image running down the center of the page. This certainly not the way to print a useful score. I can use a graphics program to cut up the image into pages but the tools I have to use make the job time-consuming and the results are not particularly good. Does anyone have recommendations for good tools for paginating erhu scores where the source is an image containing multiple pages? Thanks. Best wishes, David

David, you might try to use a program called 'hardcopy". it is quite simple, open the scoresheet to make it viewable on the screen, and then use the hardcopy, and select the rectangle to surround a targeted section of print, and save it as an image. multiple crops saved and printed separately. It is a very simple prg to use and might work for you although I havent tried it on scoresheets. Harcdcopy is a screen image capture prg. usefull for lots of stuff. when installed, opens by right clicking the icon in the system tray (for cropping and capturing the screen image section) Den (let me know if you need help finding the link to the download page. a standard and full version available. I use the standard to keep it simple) Last edited on Sat May 30th, 2009 05:39 pm by Den |

Hello Den, Thanks for the suggestion. I currently use a similar process with a program named ThumbsPlus. Several years ago, someone combined the erhu tunes on the Cadenza library into several PDF files. It was very handy since each tune was formatted and paginated just right. I wondered if there was something more automatic than manually cutting up the image files. Thanks. Best wishes, David
