I assume, in general, everyone likes to ride in a leather seat car:):D...let's say I am right...how about bowing in leather comfort style?

No wonder some bow makers in China have come up with the super comfort bow idea and products.

As you know, I like to make my own stuff...well, look at what I have done for myself and wife during the weekend...a super comfort bow...I tried it out...my godness...what a different... I am bowing in cloud nine...it is like driving a sport car with a leather steering wheel...so different from having to bear the discomfort of the bare soft plastic and hard banmboo stick!

So all you need is a good hand...a leather needle and strong thread...you also need a piece of nice and soft (not too thick) leather!

I am sure many members would have a better fine motor skills than this bird...during the production phase...my fingers have been punctured by the merciless needle for no less than 5 times...ouch!...ouch!...ouch!....really painful experience...no pain and no gain...I figured!:):D:)

Try it...you will like it!:talk::):D:cool::cool:

My wife's super comfort bow!...she really likes it!...better than giving her a diamond!...super comfort bow is girl's best friend!:talk::):D

Cool.  Similar idea to this : http://www.eason.com.sg/products/string_access/meh51.jsp

But you have it on both sides!

Thank you for all your positive and encouraging comments...for me...it is kind of fun to do it.

For some people, they might just want to buy it off from the store....don't forget... the chances of getting jabed by the neddle is pretty high :):D;)

At one point, the thread was all tangled up and I have to sort out the knots patiently...that was no pinic!:shock::shock::cool::):D

Very nice work. Tell us about the rest of the bow. Did you start out with an existing bow? Where did you get the hair?

I just love the way these forums are set up,  here for example  you have the pleasure of grabbing a previous topic by  subject  and reviving it again. !   this computer age  stuff is so neat !     and all of these topics are terrific for re-studying input of hints and insights.
