着用蟒蛇皮做的二胡到了国外可能会被追究刑事
Exporting (illegal) pthyon skin Erhus to oversea could be charged under Criminal Acts

由于中国已加入《野生动物植物濒危物种国际贸易公约》,若没有这些手续直接把用蟒蛇皮做的二胡带出国,到了国外被发现肯定会被没收,若是数量多还会被追究刑事责任

Due to the fact that China is a member of the CITES (the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora), without proper permit(s), Erhu(s) exported to the oversea definitely would be confiscated...if large quantity is involved...the voilatior(s) would be charged under the Criminal Acts!

祥呼吁广大市民积极举报

Officials would like (Chinese) citizens to report any voilations to the appropiate department!

I run into this article today...excerpt from site: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Erhu

Use of python skin

According to a Taipei Times article, China passed its Law on the Protection of Endangered Species in 1988 after ratifying the UN Convention on the International Trade in Endangered Species (CITES), making it illegal to use and trade unlicensed pythons.

To regulate the use of python skins, China's State Forestry Administration introduced a certification scheme between python skin sellers in Southeast Asia and musical instrument makers in China. From January 1, 2005, new regulations also require erhus to have a certificate from the State Forestry Administration, which certify that the erhu python skin is not made with wild pythons, but from farm-raised pythons. Individuals are allowed to take up to two erhus out of China when traveling; commercial buyers need additional export certificates.

Outside China, manufacturers of erhu are able to issue their own CITES licenses with approval by governments of their respective countries. Such exports are legal as they have been made from legal skin sources.

Friends of mine just bought a few Master's Erhu from China...reasonable priced...excellent quality...beautifully crafted...and wonderful voices!

CITES permits were obtained before leaving China...it took them ranged from 4 days to 20 days...approximately cost for one permit is $30 Canadian plus......:):D:cool::cool::cool:...you know what!

With proper documents....no problem bring them back to Canada at all!:2bigthumb::cheerleader::cheerleader::cheerleader:

Maybe we need to ask Sung Wah how he sends them out. He may have some good information.

I have been trying to get a skin out of florida, so far no one I have contacted will touch the idea. Anyone know if they are protected in florida also?

Karl

Have you tried a local chinese restaurant in Florida? Or a meat supplier to Chinese restaurants in Florida...
