I was in Horsemonden, Bath and Bristol last week. Folks came from all over (even from as far away as Spain!) for the workshops, so it's safe to say that there are an awful lot of pickers in the UK.

Contact Danny over at http://madgeniusmusic.wordpress.com/ and ask him about the mailing list he is putting together so that my old students can start networking.

hi its great to know there is someone quite near. You will be on your way in no time. I have only been back playing just over a month after five months break and before that I had just started and played for a month so I've only really been playing two months. Once you get the bum ditty then it seems to just come. If I can be of any help just ask as I know how it feels when you just start out you wonder if your ever going to get anywhere. Be nice to arrange a meet up at some point or a chat by tel.

I'm in Todmorden. Terrible Banjo player though but at least I have one!

Tenor, Uke, Guitar and Mandolin are my strong points.
