I'm looking for a good clawhammer version of foggy mountain breakdown, All I can find is bluegrass. I want to play it on my harmonica too, does anyone know where I can get it on harp tabs or just the regular sheet music with actually notes instead of tabs?

Sarahforgot-

Foggy Mountain Breakdown is really a Bluegrass (Scruggs style) tune, since he and Lester wrote it. It might be difficult to find in CH tab or notation.

Also, due to copyrights, it might be hard to find a freebe on the web, you may have to hunt for a book with it.

That said, you might find somebody who could help you on one of the banjo-specific groups, like banjohangout.org .

Hey Sarah,

If you can already play clawhammer banjo, Foggy Mountain Breakdown is a real simple tune to play. There are just 3 chords in the song (G, Em, and D) and you should be able to take a bluegrass tab and adapt it for clawhammer.

Michael Fox plays a really nice clawhammer version of it. Click the following link to listen to it...

Thanks guys. I have been working on the BG version, I just think I could pick it up faster if it were CH. Thanks for the help, and wow, that guy can play.

Jeez, that's incredibly fast - his hand must be smokin' by the end of it. I had no idea that clawhammer could be played that fast.
