An autoharp is usually played with a thumbpick, not a flatpick, because the larger number of strings generates much more resistance to the pick compared to a guitar, and trying to grip a flatpick to play autoharp quickly fatigues your hand.  But this is a really weird gizmo for holding a flatpick...
