I am a beginning uke player and have a Pono tenor uke. I just purchased a Pono baritone uke. At some point, I would like to try C tuning on the baritone uke. I noticed that Aquila makes strings for C tuning on a baritone uke (http://elderly.com/accessories/items/ANBP.htm), but I cannot tell if this set is for high G (reentrant tuning) or low G tuning. 1) Is the Aquila bartitone C tuning set for high G (reentrant) or low G tuning? 2) If the Aquila baritone set is for low G tuning, doe anyone make a set of baritone strings for high G (reentrant) tuning? Thanks. Richard

Those Aquila "C-tuning for baritone" strings have a high-G re-entrant string. The large body of the baritone tends to favor low-G tuning because it resonates at a lower frequency that do smaller body ukes. If you want to have low-G tuning in GCEA, you should also buy the standard Aquila DGBE baritone set, and use the second lowest string of that set to replace the high-G. That's what I did for one of my baritone ukes. Good luck with your new baritone.
