As somewhat of a consolation for discontinuing the "Featured Artist of the Week" I'll be featuring different stations on the home page of ezFolk... http://ezfolk.com This will allow the music of different artists to be in the spotlight for a while. The emphasis will be on different genres or instruments instead of individual artists although maybe from time to time we'll feature a particular artist (let's see how it goes). I might also feature particular stations set up by artists or members that contain a variety of outstanding music from throughout the MP3 section of ezFolk, so if you've set up a great station let me know and maybe it'll be featured. Right now there's no set schedule on how often this will be changed... just kind of trying it out to see how it works. The patriotic radio we just ran through July 4th went pretty well. I've replaced it with "Blues" for now, so to be included just have a song in one of the blues genres. I'll probably leave a featured station on at least two days before switching, and maybe up to a week but no longer than that to allow more variety. I'm open for suggestions so let me know if you have any.

Hey Richard, Great idea! I do have one suggestion. In another forum a participant just returned from a promoting music through the Internet symposium and one of the main suggestions coming from this gathering was to not have music automatically start when the page is loaded. Reason being is that a good number of folks surf the Internet whilst at work and if music automatically starts they simply close the window with out exploring the site. Offering a prominent start button for this radio station may be the way to go. Past this I think featuring the diversity of music here on EzFolk this way is a great idea. Peace, Ed
