I've only ever seen pics from straight away...I would like to look at the body of the pots when comparing the wood vs metal if anyone could throw up some pics.

I'm a wood kind of guy...I like the asthetic of something natural, but I like the fret design of a dulcijo with a metal pot, hmm.  I'd just like to see some real pics of the pots from the open back or side before I set my mind to what I want to order...well, someday.

cheers,
Jon

Thanks Michael...is it possible to mix and match?  I would reckon not, but its a shot in the dark.  I just had my eye on a particular fretboard inlay, however it comes on a dulcijo with a metal drum and I would prefer maple.

I'm scheming a plan to make this happen before the end of the year...ssshh dont tell the wife

and here's a beginner question...what does the faux sound like?  This type of music is new to me.  I only own one 5-string banjo and its a Morgan Monroe 400mcob...walnut pot.

:newb: <---thats me

I have the faux and it's a real nice sound.

Louder than I expected too, I sometimes stuff a sock in the pot just to mute it a little (I play mostly in the evenings!). It doubt it would be as bright as a metal pot but certainly comparable (if not a little louder) than the maple.
