Typically I havent been a big fan of hybrid-type instruments, but I saw this bad boy and was hooked.

I play several instruments because I have a short attn span, all of them pretty intermediate (if that), so its not all that much to brag about.  I do however, really enjoy pickin-and-a-grinnin on the front porch during a rain storm and the dulcijo looks awesome.

I only plan on buying one (I bet you say that too), so I would really like to get a hold of a used $399, 8 inch diatonic with the fancy inlay.

I also have a really nice epiphone les paul custom electric, wine with gold hardware that I could sell or swap (hope I dont violate some forum rule with that)...if that was an option

Great forum, great info...thanks to Michael for his love of music and longlasting contribution in this, what I am sure to be, a longstanding instrument.

I'm looking too.  I decided to reply to this thread instead of starting another one.

I'm looking for a used instrument rather than spending the money on a new one.  I just don't know how well I will take to the Dulcijo  (I play dulcimer not banjo)

Thanks for reading

Interesting posit: I wonder if a dulcijo fretboard might be available. I have a banjo I seldom play and could convert.
Since there are so many banjos on the new and used markets, the conversion process might be a viable and cost-effective solution.
