Has any one been able to compare the two dulcijo's
I have one of the wood and was thinking about the metal rim also as I play some at a bluegrass jam and the sound might fit that .
Thanks for any comments about it
Charlie

Hi Mark, Yes I have 3 of them now.
I have 2 regular Dulcijo's that are tuned in D and one tuned to G and then I have bought a 5 string 10 inch chromatic banjo with G tuning
My first dulcijo is a plain one and the second and third are with the nice fret board on them. I have not got use to the 5 string banjo yet.

Wow Charlie you have been busy!
So, what are the noticable differences between the wood and metal pots then, just volume / tone ?
Also, how do you find the short (A-Scale) banjo compared to a regular sized G-Banjo?

Mark I have not had a G banjo, so I can't compare as the other banjo I had was a 17 fret tenor and it was short also, But I have this one tuned to G now and can't tell that it is any different.
I forgot to say about the other 2 that one of them is wood and the other is metal and I would say I like the wood better, But the metal one it sure pretty with the design in it with the nice fret board. So I enjoy them both
I don't like the pot on the five string and have changed it out with another 10 inch that I like better. But all and all I like them all and will keep them and for the money they are all a good buy.

Charlie,
My Dulcijo has a different pot again (not metal or wood but composite, faux burl). I quite like the sound I get from it, it is fairly loud but not too bright
What was it that you disliked about the pot on the 5-string Banjo Charlie?
Mark
PS: I am also interested to learn how you have tuned to G on your Dulcijo.

Mark the ring that pulls the tenison on the head would bend as you pull tension to it and I just did not like the looks of it and there was nothing wrong with it other than the looks, so I replaced it with a different type. Please don't keep from buying one as they are great and it was just my personal preference to do this.
To tune your regular 3 string to G tuning, you need heavier strings to tune it and I don't remember the size, but you would go to DDG
