I was wondering if anyone had suggestions for instructional websites, books, dvds. Especially great would be dvds or websites with clips that are worth the money for purchase or membership. Also websites or materials for fingerpicking-ish style playing of ukes or music for leads would be fantastic.. ! please post any suggestions/ratings whatever! thanks!

Hi necrogrrl, Welcome to ezFolk! The video clips and tutorials on ezFolk are definitely worth the money (they're free). Here are some links... Fingerpicking tutorial: Strumming tutorial: Clawhammer uke tutorial: All of the above have quite a few video clips with them. Here are some more uke tutorial things on ezFolk: Tablature: Chords: Scales: There are some more tutorials and other things like reprints of old uke books that are available from the main page of the ukulele section... There are a lot of other uke websites as well but I'll let somebody else fill you in on those.

Check out the ukulele lessons on http://www.iamhawaii.com/videos you have to sign up for a free account to view them, but they're great for learning the "Hawai'ian style".
