Well it had to happen. word has gotten out to my prospecting buddies that I am learning to play the banjo. We are heading out to one of the claims for the 3 day weekend and they are begging me to bring my banjo. I have 2 actually ( BAS, don't know where I caught that from) my first one is a Deering Goodtime the second is a Gold Tone WL . I figured I would take the Deering since it seems to have less to break on it. The weather forcast is lows in the low 20's, highs in the upper 40's. Now the good news it will slowly go up and down in temperature through the day and evening so I don't have to worry about quick changing temperature, and I can leave the banjo in my buddies RV. Am i asking for a disaster or do you think this would be ok? Thanks Tinpan

I expect that you won't have much danger of damage. Tuning around a campfire can be hard. Of the two I would probably bring the Goodtime because it's lighter, although I brought my WL-250 to the last cool-weather camp out I went to in October of 2006, I think it just barely got above freezing, and I was actually a bit more worried about the daytime highs.
