Hi there, I am looking to start to get into some serious music. And I will look no farther than a banjo! (also uke, diff post). I would like to be recommended a starter banjo, not too expensive, easy to learn with, and last a bit. Thanks for the help If any other specifics are needed, please ask/post. Thanks Again Oh and I want it to be like the kind in the Oh Brother Art Thou: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H7AJXUg17os Thanks

Hi popnpoper, One entry-level banjo that most people like is the Deering Goodtime, and you can find it here... http://www.ezfolk.com/mf/banjo/Deering_Goodtime_Banjo.html Those are nice, and a lot of people use them as travel banjos or beaters if and when they get more expensive banjos later on.

And one or two of us use them as our main (or only) banjo even after 7 years of playing! Incidentally, if I saw the scene correctly, when Delbert is playing the banjo in the backseat of that car they stole, I do believe it was a Deering Goodtime!
