Hi Folks,

So far there's just three of us coming to Cukes in April.  There's three who will be heading to (or getting ready to) NY for the uke fest, and another who's going to San Antonio for the uke fest there.

I'd like to propose that we wait till May so there can be more of us and so we can wait for all of you Cukers who are going to the uke fests to come back and teach us what you learned.

If you're okay with waiting till May, please respond with what date(s) you are available so I can check with Westpark (where we meet) to see what they have open that month.  I'll choose whatever date I get the most response to, if it's available.   What does everyone think about that?

Chris

Chris,

Since I haven't had very much luck in my attempts to get to the meetings during the past year, my vote cannot really count.  Your thoughts do have some validity.  It would be great to hear some reports of the various experiences at the festivals.  I have already have made out my schedule of workshops for the NYUkeFest and only one hour is left "open" during the entire event!

Then again, it has finally warmed up enough to plan some good uke gathering time.  I am as anxious as the rest to get together and strum a little, and hope that enough people will respond to go ahead and have a meeting this month.  Feb to May is just a bit too long between meetings.

Speaking for myself I can safely say that April is totally booked for me. I'm leaving next Wed. on a 10 day Cruise so that books up my weekends for pretty much the rest of the month. May seems pretty open however.

Hey Chris,

May sounds good to me. Any week besides the 1st week since that's right after the New York thing. That'll give everybody a chance to rest up. How about maybe the 3rd weekend, Saturday May 20th? I'm pretty sure I can make it then. How 'bout everybody else??

I should be available most Saturdays in May with the exception of the 13th.  I know I am booked that day.

Ok, it's looking like postponing the April Cukes will be best.  Richard, if you can please make a note on the website that it's postponed for now.

Also, my schedule has changed since my last posting and I'll be out of town on 5/6 and 5/20 and then the followign weekend is Memorial Day, so other than 5/13 (and Kurt can't make it then) there goes May.  Here's a suggestions:  Does anyone else out there want to host the May Cukes?  It would mean finding another location, since we can only use Westpark if I'm there.   Otherwise we can wait till June and I know then we're getting into vacation schedules.  I'm not sure what else to do....

Suggestions, comments??

Chris

Chris... I updated the website. I'll update it again once everything is decided on. Let's not completely give up. Even if we need to wait until August that would be okay.
