PLEASE NOTE TIME CHANGE:

State-wide Cukes gathering is set for Saturday, 2/11, from 1:00-4:00PM, at our usual location in Durham/RTP at Westpark Corporate Center.  For directions go to:  http://www.ezfolk.com/cukes/events/meeting/meeting.html

* Also dinner afterwards at Sal's Italian. *

Please RSVP if you'll be coming...

 See you there!

:wave3:

PS-As someone suggested for a previous meeting:

If you have a song you'd like to share with the group when we meetup (for us to learn and play along with) and it has a web address, please post it on the messge board a week or so before we meet so everyone can have a chance to practice and learn it before we get together. If it isn't online and you can post the words and chords, that would be great too. Thanks!

Chris... I updated the Cukes webpage so the dates are now correct.

Linda and I plan on being at the meeting... looking forward to it. :uke:

I was thinking the Jake concert was on Saturday instead of Friday. Dang... we won't be able to get there for that. Guess we'll have to get the next day reports on Saturday.

Since the concert is on Friday maybe you should consider making some flyers or something about the Cukes meeting the next day. Might be some interested people at the Jake concert.

:hat:

Just wanted to make sure everyone noticed I needed to move the time of the Cukes meeting up to 1-4PM rather than 1:30-4:30PM.  I have another engagment immediately following our 4PM close and will need to skip dinner with you all.  :(

See ya soon,

Chris

I'm undecided on whether I'll be there...I'm in the process of redecorating/painting my home and I have alot of trim to paint...of course maybe we could hold the meeting at my house...I'll provide the brushes;) LOL

I learned about CUKES only at the Jake concert. As a result, it might be too late for me to get to the meeting on Feb. 11. But I'll try some re-arranging so I can make it to at least a part.

I've been playing for only a short time, and after hearing Jake, I'm pretty humbled. I hope I can learn something from seeing what you folks do and how you do it.

Do let me know about the next meeting, though, won't you?

Hi Tom!

Glad you saw the flyer!  Yes, Jake's playing is very humbling.....

We meet usually every other month, so keep tuned to this link if you don't make today's gathering....

Hope to meet you soon.

Chris

Hey Cukes,

Sorry I won't be able to make the meeting today. Got some other stuff that needs to be done and I'm not able to take the day off. Have fun.

How about somebody giving us a little review on the Jake concert in Raleigh last night when you get a chance.

:uke:

Sorry you'll miss it, Richard.  I'm actually not feeling so great myself today and may just be there for a short while today...  If there's anyone else who isn't going to make it (particularly out-of-towners) who said they were, please post - if it's just locals maybe we need to just cancel today.....otherwise I'll be there, but probably briefly today.

Chris

Dear Chris,

Thanks very much for the warm welcome. I don't want to wait two more months, so I'm trying to clear
something later today. I hope for success so I can get to the meeting, at least part of it.

Best,
Tom Generous

I had a good time at the meeting.

It was nice to meet Tom.

I was most amazed by how far Nate has come with the Lyle Ritz chord solos in such a short time!  Very talented...  Keep up the great work!!

I will work on the bass lines for some of the Lyle songs so that we can play some duets.  Starting off with Satin Doll of course.

Looking forward to the next meeting.

Kurt
