That's our Rob (DickTed) on vocals and uke with a friend one second uke. I'm adding 5-string clawhammer through with choruses guitar, harp and vocal harmony here and there.

Phil and Hip, very fun recording.  I really like the harp additions.

I learned a lot with this one. There is six tracks. The original vocal and ukes.
Then a banjo track. I figured out how to add a harp, then, guitar, then vocal, then even a second banjo (picked this time) all as partial tracks. Mixed it all down to an MP3 in the software. There's a fair bit of fading in the partial tracks and I boosted the original track 3dB at the end so the additional instruments wouldn't drown the voices out. Could have been better. But I'm sort of proud of this one.

Hey Phil. Sorry I didn't get back to you. Been getting distracted by weather damage.

Well you certainly brightened it up a lot. I don't know if it's my speakers, but I reckon it sounds bloody woeful.

That's my fault. I should have tried it in a different key, because my singing is too low and soft. I just tried it in C and it sounds heaps better. Perhaps I'll do it again. I got a bit rushed last weekend and left it til the last minute.

Sorry to be a spoilt sport Phil after all the effort you put in, but I'm on a mission now to improve on it or come up with something better.

Cheers Hip.

Au contraire! Your vocal was dead-on. Maybe a little faster would have made the clawhammer part easier for me. But that was where the challenge was. It's how you felt the song should go. Cut yourself some slack... this was for fun. Will do it again when you're ready.

Weather damage... sorry about that. I understand. My living room cieling still has damage from Katrina.
