Charlie, that was very heartfelt and I can feel your heart and soul in this.  That's what music is all about, communicating heart-to-heart.  Great job, I really enjoyed this!

Charlie-

Reminds me of any number of the old artists - they might not have had the most melodious voices, but they felt what they sang, and sang what they felt. You do the same!

:clap:Charlie, glad you did it.  I echo Preston's sentiments.  The first one is always the hardest.

Now that you have broken the ice, I hope we hear more from you.  Good job, keep playing and singing.

Dusty

Gosh darn it, I've got to apologize...another weekend has come and gone...man I've got to retire or something. I haven't recorded anything in what a year or so? It's like if I'm awake I'm trying to keep up with learning and practicing more songs. The good news is we have a dance pary next friday, and then a revival to play in a couple weeks. Doesn't leave me much free time...but man...these are the good times like I never dreamed possible. Even though I don't sing...I can still really identify with the feelings of the open mic song...every time I play:cool:...don't count me out just yet, there's always next weekend...

Ok, here's my take on this one!

I have been playing around with Audacity, trying to learn it, and thought that I might as well try to get this recorded. one track guitar, one track vocal.

I want to add a fiddle track, and I need to clean up the clipping, but at least I got it posted:

Another Open Mic

play hi-bitrate  (mp3 - broadband)
play lo-bitrate  (mp3 - dial-up)

Nice work Brad.  Do let us hear it when you get the fiddle in there, and maybe a Banjo?
