Howdy folks--just helped a friend of mine set up some of his music in the artist section of the site. Terry and I have been friends since I graduated college, about ten years ago now. Of course, he is an old fogi in his 40s--I met him in the local brew club, and then we started getting together to play music.

Anyhow, he let me play on a couple of songs, Brewers' Blues and Daddy's Little Girl. Used my Harmony soprano on the former and my Lanikai tenor on the latter. Maybe 1four5 will like Brewers' Blues.

Yep!!! Me and Tim3fingers were all over Brewer's Blues this morning!!!...in fact you'all knocked my Demon in that Bottle out of first place in the blues venue with it! (daily chart) This site is a blast, and it's great to have some more (and really good too!) blues showin up! That reminds me...I gotta go check out Terry's pages...

P.S....40's...old fogi???:P:cool:

I think I'm gonna set some demons free during this break...

Dean, what do you you use for percussion? Do you hit the guitar? (Ouch.) It's very elemental. I think it works.

I like that last verse. There's something to be said for the type of conversion experience that creates radical change.

Thanks UF!!!

Yes, I added a very simple precussion track thumping my guitar with open fingers just below the hole...I was extreamly happy with the results! Gave it a kind of Voodoo feel:cool:

Yep...radical change was desperately needed in my case...been through detox etc...etc...etc...:)

Speaking of friends...man it's a blast to turn friends on to this site...it's also got to be a real thrill seeing them get some tunes up! I've got two of my buddies here (CMac and Tim3fingers)...what do I gotta do to get them motovated to record their stuff!!! I jam with these guys every day at work...and they can both sing better than I can by leaps and bounds...especially Tim...you'll see what I mean when he finally gets some stuff up!!! Thanks for getting Terry set up here...great stuff!!! BTW...Tim3Fingers is another blues player:)

One of my new "online buddies" just signed up. I responded to a post of his at the Just Plain Folks forum and he visited my website. Since the second news item on my front page is about ezFolk he apparently came over and liked what he saw.

BTW... for those of you that pen your own tunes, Just Plain Folks (http://www.justplainfolks.org) is a great resource! I recommend them highly.

ciao for now...
