Charlie-

Really making progress!
I downloaded "Camptown" and am going to try to put my fiddle version together with yours. You did do it in D, right?

I'll let you know before I upload it.

Hey Brad that will be great, Yes I did do it in D,

I also did it tru my 4 track recorder and some times it will sound off key, I have tried playing along with some songs and they seem to be off, You might have to tune your fiddle to it.

I guess going from cassette tape to computer changes the sound some.  But I will be looking forward to hearing it when you get it done. Thanks

Charlie-

Do you still have the .wav files? I can't get the mp3 into my n-Track studio. If you have them, let me know and we can set up a way to transfer them to me.

Hey Brad,  I erased the other file so I would not have so many files with the same name in the file,

But I do have it on my tape that I can down load again and send it to you if I can figure out some way,  Let me see what I can do and will let you know.

Charlie-

Go to:

http://www.yousendit.com/

follow the instructions and they will let me know I have an email. I will be able to download the file from there.

Works pretty well, was recommended to me by one of our members here quite a while back.

Looking foward to it.

Hey Brad,  I down loaded your song SHORTING BREAD and added my Dulcijo with it and made a 3 instrument Band to it,

Would it be OK to send it to the site,  It came out pretty good I think.

Charlie-

Yeah, post it, I want to hear it! I'm still trying to get "Camptown Races" into a .wav format so I can add a fiddle track to that one. I'm having a real hard time finding a conversion program. Probably going to wind up recording your mp3 to tape, then rerecording that back into my n-Track software.

Brad, Audacity http://audacity.sourceforge.net/ do a linux based wave editor that, if you follow their instructions and download and install another mp3 program, will allow you to convert mp3 to wave no problem. I think you can even edit mp3s like wavs.

I downloaded it and it works on my computer, which is made up with bits out of three old computers and has a processor of about 700hz.

Hey Brad, Its on now,  I put it in Fiddle genre

 play hi-bitrate (mp3) (broadband)
play lo-bitrate (mp3) (dial-up)

I hope you approve,  We will have to do more of these, It was alot of fun,   I did as you were talking about, I pluged the sound to my 4 track and recorded yours on track one and put mine on track 2.

Good job, Charlie! Yeah, we'll have to work on more of this as soon as I get this conversion stuff figured out.

Gerry - I may have to give audacity another go. I tried it a couple of years ago, and can't remember whether it crashed my system or had setup problems. I have several mp3 players on my computer: Windows Media Player, Realtime, Quicktime, Winamp, and probably a couple of others.

Charlie (et al)-

I have posted "Camptown Races" with a fiddle track in my "Larnin' T' Fiddle"  album, here:

Camptown Races
play hi-bitrate  (mp3 - broadband)
play lo-bitrate
(mp3 - dial-up)

I placed it back in the 'dulcijo' genre.
