I can play mysongs from my hard drive using Real Audio, Rhapsody and other players....but the player here on ezfolk doesn't play at all ...just started today, I think.  I know it was working Saturday.
Anybody else have a problem?

Hey Verne... Which player are you talking about? Give me a link to the page if you can.

I tried to play songs from several different places just now including your page, the main page, and the music page and all of those seem fine.

Let me know if there's a specific place you're talking about.

Richard, it is the player when profile comes up...i.e.
http://ezfolk.com/audio/bands/1849/blog.php

I can't get sound click or myspace to work either so must be on my end...I have latched on to a XP2008 Antiviris virus that I can't get rid of ....so it may be related to that. I re-installed Adobe Flash Player but didn't help.

Yep... I think it's on your end. It's playing fine on my computer. Good luck with the virus. You might try reinstalling Windows Media Player if you use that.

Richard, what kind (the name) of player is used on the site where all the songs are listed?...I guess the mp-3 pop-up player / popmp3.php....
I have uninstalled and installed 9.0 Adobe Flash Player, still no music when I click on the link. However when I try a video, Media Player loads and plays video and audio...but I can't get any audio from the "song" link. Used to be when I clicked on a song HF button, Real Player would come on and play it. I am using Mozolla browser, but IE doesn't make any difference...Sorry to bother you again. I just thought that if your site's player is Media Player, I could make it work maybe.

Verne... Sounds like maybe your default settings got changed somehow on your RealMedia player to make it stopped playing the MP3s. I don't have the RealPlayer installed so I can't tell you exactly how to change it but I think it's similar to Windows Media Player.

You can set Windows Media Player as your default MP3 player by opening the program then choosing the "Options" menu, then click on the "File Types" tab, then checking the "MP3 Audio File" option.

Hope that helps!

Will give that a try Richard. I assume that Windows Media Player is what is used on ezfolk?

Verne... Windows Media Player is what I use on my own computer. Depending on where you're at on ezFolk, much of the time it uses whatever your player is that is installed on your system that you have set up to play MP3s.

Verne, I just tried the link you posted and it played fine but it didn't play in Windows Media Player. It looks like it might be a player that comes with the MediaPro theme. That's most likely what's causing your problem. I see you switched back to Flashback and maybe there's some kind of incompatibility going on. I'm not sure and your songs played fine on my computer.

I copied one of the shortcuts for a song on your music page and what it's doing is trying to load a Javascript player:

javascript:jframe('player','http://ezfolk.com/audio/bands/1849/song_player.php?mode=song_hifi&type=song_id&a=true&id=15822')

I'm using the MediaPro theme on my page and it's not using a Javascript player anymore but just whatever player you have installed, so here's what the shortcut looked like to my song (see if you can play it)...

http://ezfolk.com/audio/play.php?mode=song_hifi&band_id=2&song_id=38

If you're able to play that one of mine then you might want to switch back to the MediaPro theme for the best results, but I'll let you decide that.

:hat:

Yep, it played on Windows Media Player...Very good rendition of yours for Rock Candy Mtn...I will try Media Pro as suggested. If that works, man I say you went the extra mile for me...why this site is the best!
Thanks,

Verne
