I think I had four songs already on the site. I added a vault file for each of those, then added the other songs from the CD directly into the vault. But on my band page in the Songs tab, I only see the four original songs, and there's no indication that they can be purchased. I want all the songs to be visible and to have a clear icon for a person to click on if they want to download it. I'd also like to sell the whole CD in one download--is that possible?

Thanks for any help.

Hi Dave,

I saw your note you left earlier in an MP3 forum and sent you a private note in that section, but if you didn't get it, you can find detailed information on this page...

http://www.ezfolk.com/faq/Artists/detailed-overview/detailed-overview.html

When somebody clicks on your store link they get this page:

http://ezfolk.com/audio/bands/131/store.php

If they click on "Digital Downloads" at the top of that page they'll get the digital files:

http://ezfolk.com/audio/bands/131/vault.php

Also, when songs are played in the flash player they can be purchased from there (you'll see a red "Buy Me" price.

If you want to sell a whole album you can but it needs to be zipped into one file.

If you want just the digital items to show for sale you can remove the CD you have that can be ordered, and when that's removed only the digital downloads will show up.

To make it easier for your customers, you might need to lead them to the right pages with a blog message which shows up on your landing page.

I also noticed you've got the downloads named as "160 kbps" (or something similar). It would be best to rename them with the actual name of the song, then you can add additional info either in the title or description.

Hope that helps!

Thanks, Richard! I've got a better handle on it now. So, do songs have to be uploaded twice in order to be streamable and for sale? When I click "Modify Item" in the Vault section, I see no way for me to make that song streaming? (I guess that's because Vault items are not necessarily audio files?)

Anyway, thanks for the advice--I'll get it eventually! By the way, I watched your clawhammer videos to try and adapt that technique for the uke. It was very helpful, but I'm finding it's a lot harder than it seems!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Dave

Hey Dave,

There are also some clawhammer uke videos. If you didn't see them, you can find them here...

http://www.ezfolk.com/uke/Tutorials/Clawhammer/clawhammer.html

About the digital downloads (vault files), yes, you need to upload them separately because they can be different files (and not necessarily MP3s). There are quite a few different ways to do it, which is nice except it sometimes makes it seem more complicated. If you'll just keep an eye out for how everything looks on your page you can make changes to make it easier to find things and arrange things more logically.

:thumbs1:
