All three of my short videos start and stop couple of times intermittently, always at the same spot...They  play ok on media player and others players from my hard drive but, the player here, I have this problem...I am using IE browser...

I have reloaded few times, still does this...wonder if others have any such experience?

Thanks,  Verne

Howdy Verne...

I played them all on my computer just now. The first one (My Friend) played through without interruption but the second one (Hay Day) stopped once to buffer and the third one (Just Passing Thru) stopped twice.

I think the problem is that they're just big files and it's a bit of a problem to get them to stream all the way through because of all the data that's being transmitted. That's why they'll play fine on your computer... because they're not having to be transmitted over the Internet if they're already on your computer.

One reason the first one plays better is that it's a much smaller file. It's 160x120 pixels with a bit rate of 312. It's 8 kbps, 8 kHz, and mono.

By contrast, the two other videos are 640x480 with a bit rate of 864 kbps. They're 96 kbps, 44 kHz, and stereo.

I didn't check the actual file sizes but if you do you'll notice that the "My Friend" is much smaller than the other two because it's a smaller screen size and simpler format.

What I'd recommend is that you would save all of your videos at 320x240. The 160x120 is a little too small and the 640x480 is a bit too large for streaming although the quality is really good.

You're saving your videos in the WMV format and that's the best format for ezFolk.

Hope that helps!

Thanks Richard, I am still trying to figure this  Cannon A540 that the kids gave us for Christmas...It has about 5 minute feature for video on one meg card...Will try to save future takes as you describe (320) medium size files...
