I'm new too, relatively speaking. Audio Engineering is not a forte. My recording system, Adobe Audition 1.5, used to have a method where I could save wave files as mp3s and post them on ezFolk. This electronic marvel has changed its mind. It has much in common with my good lady. I understand neither. Now I don't experct anyone to explain women to me but could somebody, please, explain what I'm doing wrong with the saving of files? NB: I am well aware that it'll be my fault. I've been married forty years.

Hi Smiffy, I haven't used Adobe Audition but I do use Cool Edit Pro, which I think was the program that became Adobe Audition after Adobe bought them out. When you're in the mode where you're looking at the waveform instead of the multitrack view (I forget the official names) and you click on "Save Waveform As" on the "File" menu... Be sure to check the settings at the bottom of the box that pops up. Be sure you're choosing an MP3 option where it says "Save as type:" ... and also be sure to click on "Options" at the bottom of that box to be sure your MP3 options are set correctly. At least that's the way my Cool Edit Pro works. Hope that helps!
