Richard

 True, I haven't been on my page for a while, but I intend to record some dulcimer songs in the future. So here is my question.  When I go to my artist pages (MP3) and click on a song, they sound okay , when I click on a song in the embedded player, they sound like Alvin. Theodore and Simon. Can you fixit, can I fix it, What do I need to do?

Tim

P.S. Cobalt. Evolution. Merseygator, makes no difference to me, I will adapt to and use whatever becomes the standard here on EZfolk.

Hey Tim,

You can find the answer on this artist FAQ page near the bottom...

http://www.ezfolk.com/faq/Artists/artists.html

Basically though, the Flash player on your page can only correctly play songs that have been saved at a sampling rate of 44.1 kiloHertz and yours were probably saved at half that so they're playing at double speed. It's not usually a problem because most software defaults to that rate. If you've still got your original WAV files try making new MP3s and updating your MP3 files.

I am working on it. I found the old wav's, now I'm converting them to MP3.

Did a Dulcimer tune last night, hopefully I can get it up on my site too, soon. The main problem now is relearning my cakewalk program.

Josie-

You should be able to just "modify" the tune by uploading the new version over the existing one.

I'd been having a similar problem, where the "hand-held" player on site played back a fraction slower than the real thing.  Bang goes the weekend ;-}

Me too. All mp3's played with Windows Media Player are chipmunk songs - even on slow play.

I can drag them into Windows Movie Maker and they play alright.

Even downloaded latest WMP and same thing, but it plays videos correctly.

It's got me stumped for now, but I can download and play with another player. The embedded flash player plays them OK.

I'll go go googling for an an answer soon.

I just played Beach Boys Cottonfields on high speed. They sound more like crickets than chipmunks. So does Buddy Holly for that matter.

Hip.
