There are a lot of new things going on in the MP3 section. Most obvious for artists and members logging in is a new look for the control panel that features pull-down menus across the top in what I think is a much nicer and better organized look.

The TinyMCE editor replaces the old WYSIWYG editor and has better features, including a button for quickly adding a YouTube video. This is used in places such as blog entries and when creating songs.

"Invite a Friend" can be found under the Extra tab on the far right side and will allow you to invite others to ezFolk (use that one a lot!).

That's just a few of many new features and changes. You might see a few glitches as well such as a problem with some of the stats. I'll be working on getting that straightened out today. If you run into any other issues let me know.

The first bug I've noticed is that on my artist pages, the song statistics are way off, and the numbers are all the same for every song on that page.  The statistical numbers also seem to change each time I refresh the page.  Thanks for all of your work.

Thanks for all your work, Richard! I and my husband also have funny numbers on our stats and some photos of fans don't display. I imagine it'll all get worked out eventually and wish you all kinds of luck with it!
Again, thanks!

All best wishes,
Robin Thompson

Richard -

I know you're working to improve things, but I'm glad I found the spot to revert to the "classic" control panel — I find that much easier to get around in, I'm not a big fan of everything residing in drop-down menus. And, it is much easier to move back and forth from editing to viewing the page under the "classic" theme.

Keep at it — I'm sure I'm probably the exception here.

Brad

I should have pointed out earlier that if anybody wants to use the classic (old) control panel they can select it under "Account Info" in their profile.

Hi Richard

I have noticed my stats are somewhat lower than they used to be! :)

I haven't tried all the other functions yet, but the control panel stuff seems fine!

These upgrades are always tricky - as long as all my tunes are still there, there's not much else to worry about! :)

Dan :)

A couple of my stats are lower, too. Visits seems right but plays and downloads are lowered. I should've guessed that my better stats were there due to a clerical error ;)

Thanks for your good work!

Robin

Robin & Dan...

Do you mean it's like you're getting less plays or do you mean your overall plays are lower? Like, maybe you had 5,000 plays before and now it's 3,000?

:huh2:

My overall plays and downloads are lower. It's not a big deal, not even a little deal either. Funny because my husband's numbers seem to have taken back up from where they were before the glitches were fixed.

I'm still having a few problems unfortunately. Not to add to the pressure but just to let you know...

1of my radio stations won't show on my site, I can only access the first page of my vault, all the songs (on the songs pages) have the same picture, and lots of friends photos are replaced by icons...

:) Thanks! Steve.

I'm getting this too. The weird part is the "featured tune" that rotates on my home page has the right picture with it, it's just the listings on the song pages that have the wrong pic. It's like the proper pic is still associated with the song but the song listings page "forgets."

I'll be trying to sort out everything and look for solutions over the next few days. Some of the problems such as the same photo for each song are not showing up in the Flashback theme so switching to that temporarily can cure that.

I'll try to post a forum message about things as they are cleared up. Gimme a little time as I'm fitting this in around everything else I've got to get done in the real world.

Hi, Steve,

I have found a temporary means of accessing pages where the upgrade has dropped the 'Next Page' and page Menu links:

Look in your address bar at the top of your browser page.  You'll see something like this:
http://ezfolk.com/audio/bands/895/radio.php

If you want to go to page 2, add this string:
?p=2
at the end.  It will look like this:
http://ezfolk.com/audio/bands/895/radio.php?p=2

Make sure there are no spaces in between.

Hit return.  You should find yourself on the missing page.

If you need to access page 3, 4, 5, etc, just change
?p=2
to
?p=3
or 4, etc.

Hope this helps.

Hi Richard

The overall plays/downloads/streams - but it's not a big problem, don't mean to stress you man! :)

Dan :)

I haven't had a chance to look through everything as of yet, but I am also having the issues of one picture for all the songs and lowers stats for my plays/downloads/streams. Not a huge difference - maybe 50 - 100 lower, but I did notice it.

I also noticed that there were a few days earlier this month that for some reason folks were able to download songs that I didn't have selected as downloadable. Again, not a bit deal, but I thought it was odd. Everything says 'streaming' that's supposed to be and 'downloadable' that's supposed to be.

Maybe because I'm still using Sage that some of these issues popped up. To be honest with you, little glitches like that are minor to me because I'm so thrilled overall with ezFolk! Richard - this is just a FYI type of note. Don't worry about it on my account. But thanks for all the upgrades and what you're doing. You're 'da bomb' (as my kids are now saying though I thought that was out of style already...) :)

*I think* most of the problems are now fixed:

Pagination now working on Stations page in Sage theme. :bump:

Pagination now working on overall charts. :bump:

Hidden songs should not be showing on Flash player now. :2noevil:

Song photos now working normally. :wave1:

Still working on a few other things. :type:

:hat:

I'm with Amy. You 'da bomb' Richard.

Dunno if my play counts are "correct" or not, but I hadn't been paying much attention to them before and they're over 18,000!

Who knew?

Thanks much for ezFolk!
