Hi Folks,

I'm a newbie around here, so this is probably as good a time to introduce myself as is ever likely to come up. I'm Fred McCormick, I live on Merseyside, England, and I sing, write songs and I have a passion for traditional music and song that is literally world wide. By traditional I'm embracing anything which could be thought of as down home roots, including, blues, old time country, cajun, Irish, sean nós, rembetika, klezmer, flamenco etc; the music, in fact, which ordinary people make for themselves, without the aid of the mass media or the music industry.

In fact, lack of media interest in my kind of music has led me to start an Internet radio station. It's called Worlds of Trad and you can find it at http://www.live365.com/stations/oneworldmusic . Fresh programmes are uploaded monthly and you can find the current playlist at http://www.mudcat.org/thread.cfm?threadid=106284&messages=4 , together with instructions about how to log on.

Listening is free, the station is on air 24/7/365, programmes are three hours long and are continuously looped, so there's plenty to enjoy.
