One thing I especially like about the new site is the embedded player - very easy and very cool.

I even used it to spice up my recording blog

This site has changed a lot even in the time I first found it - it's been a joy to see, really. :)

Dan :)

Let me add my appreciation of this feature. I just added song clips to my Iris Musica web page using the embed feature. On the CD sales page, I have a song clip for each of the 3 CD's. Very cool indeed.

Just wondering, however, if there is a way to embed a player for an entire album. I have 3-4 songs for each album; it would be nice to have one link for all cuts from one album.

Again, thanks to Richard for his continued work at making EZ-Folk so great!

I don't know about embedding a player, but you can post a link to the album from the arrows by the album name. That will start all the tunes/songs in the album to be played.

Right now the "embed" feature is just for individual songs but I made a request to the author of the Jamroom script we use to add the ability in the artist control panel to enable artists to create flash players that will include any songs they want to use (similar to the one on the main page of ezFolk). He likes the idea and said he would include it as a new feature in an update. I'm not sure of the timeline but I think it will probably be pretty soon, most likely within the next two months.

:thumbs1:

Richard

That would be splendid - the lack of a portable non-commercial player is something which a lot of indie artists bemoan all over the net. Having such a feature would (yet again) lift ezFolk above the accepted norm.

EzFolk is the most artist-friendly site by miles - I cannot thank you enough for what you do.

Dan :)

Hi - I know this thread is a few months old but I thought I'd check in to see if the ability to embed a multi-song "radio" is possible yet. Thanks.

The only new option along those lines so far is a popup station for any artist who is using the Flashback theme. Here's a link to mine...

http://ezfolk.com/audio/bands/2/popmp3.php

If you're using Flashback you can copy the URL after clicking the "popup" link in the Flash player. I notice you're using the Sage theme so it's not available to you unless you switch over to Flashback (just click on "Site Themes" in your control panel to switch).

You can use it for a quick link to the music of any other artist who is also using it. For example, here's a really good bluegrass musician who just joined us today...

http://ezfolk.com/audio/bands/4553/popmp3.php

You get the idea.
