Of course they're a little skimpy right now, but it'll give you an idea...

Richard -

Well, I posted an mp3 of "Stewball" in all my rawness. But, how do you get the 'comments' section to display? There is really no instruction on what the fields mean and how to use them when you are filling out the upload section.

What is the difference between 'bbform' and 'htmlform'?

Also, it would be much easier if folks posted these songs in LoFi, since I can't listen to any of them start to finish because WinAmp keeps interrupting the playback to refresh the buffer; I get about 6 seconds of song, then 10-15 seconds of silence while the buffer refills, then another 6-10 seconds of song, etc. Makes it hard to appreciate the music.

Anyway, just one of the little glitches (probably due to my seniorlyness) that I have found in the area. Otherwise, it is a great addition to the site.

:thumbs2: Keep on pickin'
Brad

You can put notes either on the front page by adding a message (you'll see the option on the menu) or you can add notes on a song by choosing "Notes" or "Song Notes" -- whatever it is -- on each song (on the right side of the page. You could even put notes in the lyrics section but that's not necessary.

Just go in and type some text and see what comes up as far as how everything works. It's easy to change anything you're not happy with.

Maybe more LoFi MP3s will be posted as people have time to do it. I think a lot of people have HiFi MP3s ready to go so it's easier. I'm going to try to add LoFi's of my songs and I'm sure a lot of others will over time.

Cya

Thanks again for all of this Richard! I'm havin a ball. I just added a message on my front page and it showed up when someone clicks on my page...I saw UF did it, so I tried it and it worked. I tried the hifi option for my songs, but it gave me and error, something about bd rate, so I tried lowfi and it worked perfectly. I always minimize my file size when I covert to mp3, and that seems to really agree with the lowfi option, and the songs play great. I've also found that the hifi stuff skips bad on my old computer (1.5/256) when streaming, but if I save the song to a file on my machine and play them from there they play great.

Oh yeah...and who'd a ever thunk one of my old recordings would be toppin the charts:shock:...ok, so I know I'll get knocked off...but you'll are making this blues hacker's day:)...Thanks for the fun!!!:uke:

Glad you're enjoying yourself Dean... hope we can find a thousand more just like you! I just did some reshuffling of the charts on the main page of ezFolk. Take a look.

Oh my gosh!!!:) Thanks for the spotlight (Preasent and past collide)...yikes, that's one song I REALLY wish I could sing better. I tried several times to sing that...but couldn't make it through with dry eyes...but kept the recording because it's real. I still have a hard time listening to it. Oh yeah...I pick my daughter up at the airport tomorrow, so if I'm not around much over the holiday, that's why:)

All of your songs are worthy to be in the spotlight, but don't get too excited about it... it picks up anybody at random who has an artist picture and features one of their songs.

:shoot:

Have fun with the family over the next few days. That's what I'm doing too... we're heading to Florida where one of my kids is in school so I won't be around much either unless I have better luck with my laptop than I did last time I tried.
