The audio hosting service is now open for business and all folk and acoustic artists are invited to post up to 20 megabytes of MP3s for free. This is very similar to services such as Soundclick and the way MP3.com used to be. The biggest difference is that here the folkies are the stars! There are approximately 50 different genres, all of which are folk or acoustic related. For now all accounts are the same free membership accounts and allow 20 megabytes of storage. Soon we will announce some paid services for people who would like to have more songs online or who would like to sell their CDs directly through the pages they have set up. Hi Gerry, That's fine. There's no limit on the number of songs as long as it fits in the 20 megabyte limit, so if you're posting just LoFi you'll be able to post more. Soon I'll be offering a lot more space and some other perks for those who want it for a very reasonable price. The free 20 megabytes will remain the same though. I'm looking forward to hearing more of your songs... "Kitchen Music" is one of my favorites! Richard

Thanks for your help. Do I delete the song first and then reload in lofi? If I do this do I loose the statistics on the earlier listenings. Thanks in advance again. Gerry

Gerry... I've upgraded all accounts to 100 megabytes, so you should have plenty of space to leave the HiFi MP3s on and add LoFi recordings as well. I'm heading out and won't be back until this afternoon but I'll make a bigger announcement regarding this upgrade this afternoon.
